Our DM Roads NSW ITS team recently completed an upgrade of the streetlights on the Anzac Bridge.

This project involved the rehabilitation of 17 streetlights which required the removal and replacement of existing anchors and light footings. The streetlights were also changed to a more energy efficient LED luminaries.

Transport for NSW engaged DM Roads to design and construct the streetlighting foundations and replace wind and rust damaged poles on the bridge.

Aware of the bridge’s heritage value, the team used high pressure water blasting to remove the existing concrete footings.

Our team worked from November 2020 to March of this year to finalise this project. Works were staggered to ensure there were adequate lighting on the bridge for motorists and pedestrians. Approximately eight workers and eight traffic controllers were on site each night.

Congratulations to Arthur Hibbard, Simon Taylor, Kacy Zhou and the team for a tremendous job.
