Since 2018, our DM Roads Mornington Peninsula contract has been completing voluntary works for the Willum Warrain Aboriginal Association. These include traffic control, installation of boundary fence and line marking, delivery of clay to a local site and placement of large boulders into position for a ngargee.
Business Manager for the Mornington contract Ashley Oats says the relationship with Willum Warrain has been beneficial to our work within the Mornington Peninsula Shire.
“When we relocated our depot, we had to make modifications to the car park which we shared with Willum Warrain,” Ashley recalled.
“We ensured that we liaised with Willum Warrain to make sure any adjustments we made suited their requirements as well and from there our relationship has grown.”
“The relationship has made a positive impact to our works within the local community. We often liaise with Willum Warrian regularly to see where we can help out.”
