DM Roads takes on the Gibb Challenge
DM Roads successfully took on this year’s The Gibb Challenge in the Kimberley, Western Australia with our colleagues from Downer and Spotless Group.
The team were riding in support of the Royal Flying Doctors Service (RFDS), which delivers emergency medical services and primary health care vital for those that live, work and travel in rural and remote Australia.
With 230 kilometres to complete on the first day the team were tested when the Kimberley served up a 40 degree day. While challenging, DM Roads General Manager Marcus Stephens was honoured to take part in the event.
“It was a proud moment to complete such an amazing event and do our part to support an organisation like the RFDS, who make such a difference to communities in regional areas across Australia.”
“The event has an amazing atmosphere about it, everyone is there to contribute to the RFDS, challenge themselves physically and mentally and enjoy a very unique part of Australia. These things combined make for a truly incredible event and experience that I would recommend to anyone.”
The team has pledged to raise $150,000 for the RFDS.
