Happy National Volunteer Week!
Our people are fundamental to the culture and success of DM Roads. We are proud to foster a work environment that empowers our team members to contribute community focussed outcomes both in and outside the workplace. We especially would like to recognize the heroic efforts put fourth by some of our own DM Roads employees who have provided their time to help fight the bushfires that have devastated our country.
Glenn Watson, a Supervisor out of our Benalla Depot in North East Maintenance Alliance contract (NEMA) has been volunteering for the Country Fire Authority (CFA) for 13 years. At the beginning of the year Glenn was deployed to multiple areas under bushfire threat in the north east of Victoria. Glenn is a Strike Team Leader for the CFA leads four full teams to undertake asset protection and deliver foods and other goods to outlying communities.

Matt Lawson, one of our experienced Electrical TA’s from our state-wide ITS contract, dedicates his time to volunteer for the Rural Fire Service (RFS). Matt has been volunteering for seven years. During this bushfire season, Matt has completed many tasks including; property protection, fire containment, and hose installments. “I volunteer because I get to know I’ve helped not just my local community but the whole of Australia when assisting interstate. I’ll do this this until my last breath”

At DM Roads, the community is at the heart of everything we do. We are proud to recognize the efforts put fourth by some of our own employees to lend a helping hand in times of need.
