DM Roads to maintain Australia's longest and deepest tunnel.

DM Roads is thrilled to announce that we have secured the contract with Transurban to provide Tunnel Incident Response and Maintenance services for the NorthConnex tunnel.

This five-year contract with the option of two one-year extensions is DM Roads’ fourth major contract in Sydney for road network maintenance and incident response. The contract will draw on experiences from across our DM Roads contracts and provide the opportunity to connect with other parts of Downer and Spotless through high voltage electrical maintenance.

Over the past few months we have assembled a team of highly skilled incident response and civil maintenance operatives and mechanical and electrical technicians. Among our crop of talent are a number of female and indigenous workers, making up a diverse team.

The NorthConnex tunnel is located in Sydney’s north-western suburbs. It is a major link between the M1 in Wahroonga to the Sydney orbital motorway network at the M2 in West Pennant Hills. DM Roads have been working closely with the NorthConnex team to ensure the tunnel transitions effectively from construction into operation.

NorthConnex provides twin road tunnels with nine kilometres in length, a height clearance of 5.1m, a speed limit of 80 km/h and maximum depth of over 90m. On opening, it will be the longest and deepest road tunnel in Australia.

We look forward to making NorthConnex a success for Sydney motorists.
