DM Roads has secured two road maintenance contracts with the SA Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) valued at approximately $420m over a maximum term of 13 years (seven-year contract term, with options to extend for a further six years). The new contracts are set to cover the Metropolitan Adelaide and Regional North zones.
The two zones cover over 8,554 kilometres of road across metropolitan and regional SA. DM Roads will play a pivotal role in delivering safer and more reliable roads. Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Local Government, Stephan Knoll MP, has put a significant focus on delivering roads that are better value for tax payer money.
Over the next thirteen years, DM Roads will provide works that will see pothole and pavement repairs, drainage cleaning, traffic signal inspections, asset renewals, pavement rehabilitation and resealing, Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) maintenance services and much more.
General Manager of DM Roads, Marcus Stephens praises the new contracts as an opportunity to grow the DM Roads business in SA.
“This contract significantly grows our footprint in SA including the establishment of an Intelligent Transport Systems and on road electrical business unit. This enables us to strengthen our relationships with local governments and the communities in which we work.”
