DM Roads appoints new Contract Manager on key regional Victoria Maintenance Contract
Stacey Parise has hit the ground running in her new role as Contract Manager on the Baw Baw Shire Road Maintenance contract.
Despite being the first female appointed to a contract manager role at DM Roads, Stacey says she doesn’t think about gender and is instead focused on driving efficiencies and better performance on the long-term contract.
“I am really excited about taking on the role and getting out and assessing the condition of the network,” she said.
“I enjoy problem solving to achieve an outcome and am focused on increasing productivity”.
As part of the Fowler Asphalting family, Stacey is no stranger to industry and says she will draw on her experiences at Fowlers, which joined the Downer Group in late 2021, in her new role.
“My goal is to improve our performance by implementing the processes that have been so successful at Fowlers,” she said.
DM Roads General Manager Ritchie Taylor said Stacey’s appointment would deliver strong local leadership and strengthen existing relationships with customers and suppliers in the region.
“I believe that Stacey’s local relationships both with suppliers and clients, her interpersonal skills and her determination will ensure the success of this important contract,” Ritchie said.
“It is also great to have our first female contract manager and to see a number of others knocking on the door of DM Roads contracts”.
Fellow Fowlers alumnus Joel Backman has also joined the Baw Baw contract team and will provide support to Stacey in his role as Operations Manager.
“Joel and I have worked together for six years, he’s customer focused and gets the job done,” Stacey said.
While she is still getting to know the broader contract team, Stacey recognises one of their greatest strengths lies in their in-depth knowledge of the local network.
“The team here are all locals and a very tight nit, supportive and knowledgeable group,” she said.
“I look forward to working together to build on the groundwork that has already been done”.
