We’ve kicked off our partnership with Baw Baw Shire Council (BBSC) to offer more reliable journeys.

In March this year, DM Roads won the contract to deliver road maintenance activities to be carried out across the Shire over the next five years.

On Wednesday 1st July, we began our first day of managing the network on behalf of Baw Baw Shire Council, bringing the crews together for onboarding activities, safety and practical training and responding to our first registered call outs.

Day one featured our road inspectors and find and fix road maintenance crews heading out onto the network in flocon trucks to start fixing potholes across the network, while our vegetation management, road grading delivery teams covering both theoretical and practical training prior to starting programmed works.

As part of our collaborative effort with council it was fantastic to have representatives of the BBSC Roads Team onsite to support us.

We’ve seen lots of excitement and positivity emerge from the commencement of this contract, with lots of buzz around the team members ready to collaborate and offer improved roads throughout the Baw Baw road network.

The BBSC road network is a large network covering the inner East of Victoria, servicing major towns of Drouin, Longwarry, Neerim South, Trafalgar, Warragul and Yarragon.

The focus over the next year will be to prioritise parts of the network that deliver the greatest benefit to the community and the programmed grading work will focus on restoring parts of the network that have been beyond the scope of previous contracts.

DM Roads is proud to deliver exceptional customer service and management of road assets that prioritises safety and sustainability.  DM Roads and BBSC are focused on connecting family, friends and communities through safer roads.
